Kim and Travis Lofthouse

The name Lofthouse Gardens has been used since 2004 when we began our true gardening experiences. We completely enjoy gardening and using what we harvest. While Kim has been the product creator in this journey, it could not have been done without Travis's support and input. He has been the main tester of numerous products and is completely honest in his feedback. Natural soapmaking has several facets. There are many ingredients that soapmakers can choose to use in their soaps. Some ingredients are nature made and others are man made. Kim's soapmaking journey has evolved from trying this or that to becoming dedicated to using only natural - nature made - ingredients. She believes that nature is a gift and should be used carefully and considerately. With natural soapmaking also came the desire to study herbs and the wonderful properties they can give us. The study of herbs brought on the desire to use them in soaps, as well as salves, lotions, creams, and many other products that could be used to heal and beautify. Many of the herbs used in our creations come from our own plants.

Travis and Kim met in 1985 and married in 1990. They moved to southern Utah in 1994 and have loved it ever since! They have been greatly blessed with five adorable children.
